What is the difference between Love2Learn Extended Core Subjects and Love2Learn Core Packages

Core Packages
This is the Love2Learn you have always used. This is a new offering.
You can choose to purchase only one subject at a time or a whole collection of subjects as you wish.
 A Core Package includes all the Core subjects and may not be split up into individual subjects. (Refer lower down this table for the list of subjects).
Extended Workload

Teach all your children at the same time providing the age difference does not exceed a maximum of 4 years.
 Teach all your children at the same time providing the age difference does not ideally exceed 2 - 3 years. (Refer age description of each Package)
You can add enrichment material or additional material to your Extended Core Subjects.
 You can add enrichment material or additional material to your Core Package.
    Engine Rooms supplying all your daily lessons are available for most subjects in:

    · Core 1
    · Core 2
    · Core 3
    · Core 4
    · Core 5
    · Core 6

Selected Engine Rooms are available for Core 0 (Core 0 History, Geography and Science only)

 Engine Rooms are now available for ALL the subjects as follows:

· Core Package 3-5 year olds
· Core Package 4-6 year olds
· Core Package 5-7 year olds
· Core Package 6-8 year olds
· Core Package 7-9 year olds
· Core Package 8-10 year olds
· Core Package 9-11 year olds
· Core Package 10-12 year olds
· Core Package 11-13 year olds
· Core Package 12-14 year olds
· Core Package 13-15 year olds
· Core Package 14-16 year olds
Core 2 and Core 6 are large Cores and may be extended over two years.
 All the Core Packages are designed to be completed in a period of one year.

 Currently Core Packages are available only in English.
Advantages of choosing Extended Core Subjects:

1. Unlike a Core package which is indivisible, “Extended” Core Subjects may be purchase on an individual basis, which is ideal for those families who prefer to choose their own subjects. This flexibility allows a family to “cherry-pick” just those subjects that they may require to complete their curriculum offering in the home.

2. “Extended” Core Subjects cater extremely well for those families who enjoy a broad variety of books and activities and wish to extend their children’s education.

3. The “extended” Core Subjects allow you to extend a Core Subject over a longer period than 1 year (36 weeks), whereas the Core Packages are only designed to last a maximum of 1 year.

 Advantages of choosing a Core Package:

1. From feedback we’ve had from some of our clients that have struggled to get through all the material, we can now offer fewer books making it more manageable to complete a Core in a year.

2. Given the worldwide recession and economic pressure that pretty much all of us are facing, it also makes home-schooling that much more affordable.

3. Although the Core Package will offer fewer books per subject than the “extended” subjects we currently offer, in addition to ensuring that each Core Package comfortably covers the curriculum for the year, we are still fully committed to maintaining the “core values” of Love2Learn, in that the books are full-colour and “living” in nature.
